Work is said to be done when a constant force applied on a body displaces it to a certain length. Mathematically, WORK DONE = Force × displacement (If we consider the displacement in the same direction of the force)

Force at an angleEdit

When we apply some force on a body at certain angle then the work is given by:- W.D. = Fscosθ

  • where
            F is force applied
            s is displacement
θ is the angle with the direction of displacement

Energy is the capability to do work.
